My worst moment personally has to be seeing Trabolgan winning the Hennessey at Newbury 2005. I laid it to the boards. I felt like my guts had fallen out of my body...

Being asked to leave the course at Aintree because of the bomb scare, all the resulting hassle and chaos, and being so browned off by Monday that i didn't bother backing Lord Gyllene.

or

one of the first big-priced winners I ever backed, Kenny O'Reilly, being disqualified at Thirsk after I'd got on at 33/1.

Zilzal, I found it myself, no insider stuff. As I remember there was quite a cryptic comment in the Sporting Life about it, and it looked a poor race,so I had a go. When I saw the price go up I thought I'd have some, and then as the price tumbled I knew something was up.
Watching the race from side on I had no idea there might be a problem until they called the enquiry.

Something near that, the Jock was a replacement and was told that if he used the whip the horse would run about.a lot of taxi drivers were sent around various shops in London and told to wait for the 1st show(they were told the time of the race only and a contact was established)

George Washington dying in the slop in the Breeders Cup gaving been brought back from stud, they wouldn't have risked him is he was of any commercial value to them.
