Did a great job of getting that beaten!
Report paganin • October 3, 2011 4:04 PM BST
He did the same last run and got away with it but not today- Hughes always thought he was going to win so took it easy until the last 100 yards!

Hilarious ride when you consider that on Get On this morning he was saying how difficult it was to come from behind at Windsor and you need to be up at the front.

So the horse is laid to the heavens and he drops a front runner out the back.

Stinks to me. It was a masterclass in losing.

I agree Roy no way should have been so far off pace

All the days profits gone in one race. WAC. [>o]

Even in the last 50 yards any ordinary jock would have got that one home. He timed the defeat to perfection.

The horse needs softer ground and Hughes tried winning it cheeky. Shiit happens.

Could have won, should have won, would have won with a trier on its back.

Watch the race again.

The winner pulled out more than Hughes expected and Avon River took a long time to get going. Hughes tried winning it cheekily in the end. Ended up looking like a bad ride.
