i would have thought the fact that we get few mistakes of this nature is because it's bloody relatively simple for a professional commentator to get it right.....if it was hard to differentiate from one and another when they are crouching behind the saddle, it would bloody well happen every other race ffs.

there are plenty of pundits, link men, commentators who receive critism on here but i can't recall a single thread on machin in all my time here the bloke does a good job, he's made a mistake and if anyone on here can claim to be perfect then you're a better man than me he isn't there to steal the show, he's solid, he clearly loves his sport, frankly i don't see how people can get so @rsy about what is as much their mistake as his there were comments the other days from certain people who i won't name when a similar mistake happened (ascot) to the effect of well done you just made us a fortune; i guess it just depends which side of the book you're sitting on give the bloke some slack and move on |

As for the media freeloader on this thread who thinks the forum is 'a joke', well, I can understand why the racing media don't like it - the truth gets told here, and clearly that has become anathema in a profession which now exists only to exploit and deceive the people you are supposed to represent... |
