Mince runs off 70 tomorrow.

Won her division of the maiden at Newbury in a quicker time than the 2nd division. The horse that won the 2nd div is rated 85 (runner up Glen Moss rated 83 runs in a maiden at Warwick tomorrow). Not an exact science but suggests Mince has been underrated.

Looks to me like the handicapper rated Mince around the 4th horse in her maiden and hasn't factored in the fact she lost 5 lengths coming out the stalls before winning cosily.
Report thegiggilo • October 2, 2011 11:28 PM BST
Those times are suspect as it would mean the first four in minces maiden some would be rated 90 plus as they were on their debuts, possible but highly unlikely.[;)]
Report Fatlad 1981 • October 3, 2011 12:02 AM BST
When it looks too good to be true it always is in this game.thegiggolo makes the obvious point. We'll see tomorrow
Report thegiggilo • October 3, 2011 12:10 AM BST
Mince obviously could be well handicapped, the point is with reference to using those times as way of rating a horse on different ground against other times.I've looked at all the times in the race and not one runner has anything decent on the clock on gd/fm ground over this trip,if it was 4 1/2fs i'd back the top one.Silly

What do you think this is, a clowns reunion?
Report Suffolk1 • October 3, 2011 12:38 PM BST
Plenty of 7/4 & 15/8 now, that 9/4 is looking OK.  RC said he thought the initial rating could prove generous. Despite the stats Mince still looks the most likely winner, good draw especially if getting away on terms this time.  GL

Where is the reasoning and logic in the OP's comments? Only PFtrader and Suffolk1 gave any reasoning for the horse winning.OP was all about the price which got out further than the price he suggested & 1/4 of a point better at SP.
