Look at the Snow Fairy Debacle - that was the definition of French Bureaucracy
It probably is fixed anyway most draws are. Gary Linaker said they used to warm the balls up before a draw. He is a very honest man |

Didn't look that way in the crisp adverts!

Zarakava drawn stal1 as I explained Duncan. Let's have a side bet who gets the better draw. Sarafina or So You Think. Any amount of Euros you can afford to lose, as long as it's not over 50!!
By:
that's pub talk, victor....until there is some proof, journalists shouldnt go into print calling people cheats imo
By:
POINT IS, DI... you can ONLY get done for Slander is it's NOT TRUE
![]() ![]() [;)][;)][;)][;)][:p][:p][:p][:p] AND WE ALL KNOW they've been handing the challengers from across the channel "Disappointing", "Tricky", "Outside" draws (delete as appropriate) for DECADES in the big races |
By:
are you implying they actualy ask trainers what number they prefer ,if not whats a good draw for one horse is not for another,ex green destiny drawn 1 or 2 goodwood
By:
Absolute nonsense. As is anything spouted by the fake 'cockney geezer' guesser.
By:
OK, lets examine the 'evidence', anyone care to list where high profile GB & Ire horses have been drawn down the years?
I'll start, Dancing brave, he was drawn out in the car park, wasn't he? |
By:
I expect Victor means Zarkava - in fairness how should someone who takes their living from the game be expected to remember the spelling of one of the greatest fillies of all time - particularly when she was bleedin' French. If she'd had a proper name like Darncing Brave.....
By:
yes george dancing brave drawn widest of all, bering that afternoon drawn very low.
By:
Cheers, jimnast, that concludes the case for the prosecution. Frenchies are guilty as charged.
By:
DB was drawn to start from CALAIS...
By:
It wld need 25yrs worth of data of top UK horses and where they were drawn when the home team has a SERIOUS challenger to be conclusive but I lost touch of how many times I heard commentators say "Drawn wide" etc etc as I was growing up... and it does go some way to explain why many PERCEIVE the draws to be suspect
By:
Shooot me for spelling a horse wrong why don't you. What about Sakhee drawn 15 of 17. Jesus H Christ, what more evidence does Duncan want? The French can't be trusted. Queen Elizabeth knew it, so did Lord Nelson and so do I !!!

By:
victor
the stewards did enquire into the running of the godolphin horse in the first. |
By:
Didn't see nothing in the post Nozzer, and not a mention on Channel 4. Never laid it, but still a disgrace to racing. Can you think of the stink if the beast was trained by Barney or Wigham? Are you in Paris?
By:
victor they announced it over the tannoy i cant remember what they said ,3s out to 6s and runs like that i agree many other yards it would have gone furthur.
not going to the arc victor not been since 99 and then it was only because the rowley mile was shut, perhaps ill go again one day ,you have yourself a good time is ozzy going ? |
By:
Ozzy will once again be joining me on the Eurostar. Out Friday, back Sunday night if still in one piece. No 2-5 shot given past results. I fancy Chelsea for the Premiership, as I think AVB knows what he is on about. Jesus loves a trier!!!
By:
someone has to fancy chelsea,by the way i was at the ground last monday,
say hello to ozzy for me ,ill miss him at fontwell. |
By:
Shame about Fonters, but will stay down in hotel with you later in season. Great pub next to course, decent scoff and hotel a few yards away.

By:
Not sure why i'm dignifying this with a response but Fame and Glory drawn 1 last year when French had the fav Bekhabad.
By:
F&G 2nd fav btw
By:
hold up horse like dancing brave would have been crucified if it was drawn 1,as stated earlier different draws mean different things to each horse, also going, field size, pace etc ,or are you saying the stewards which you normaly criticise for being asleep get together and discuss the draw for each horse, plainly ridiculous
By:
Big Fields which the Arc usually is can be problematic where ever your drawn. Drawn low for a hold up horse could be disastrous, drawn high and wide for a prominent runner means you have to cover a lot of ground out wide to get a prominent perch.
Granted if your a prominent runner and your drawn low its happy days if your good enough?, but most good French horses are nearly always held up for a late surge, either way as always luck in running will have its say one way or the other for better or worse. There was any amount of hard luck stories in last years race. |

Once a tw@t always a tw@t. Mark is daft as a brush, very blinkered, bless him.
By:
Wasn't Dalakhani drawn 14 of 14? Against Hight Chaparral drawn 5.....
By:
mark talks bollocks......nap
By:
Hmmm, Sarafina drawn 13 of 16...the authorities must have known victor was on to them and decided to play a straight bat this year

By:
the draw was shown live on TV; had a fine specimen of the female form handling the balls.
