Despite SYT being mooted as a starter by AOB I am sticking with the same 3 I picked a few weeks ago.

Main one being Workforce, vibes are still positive via the molerat, the 2 savers Galikova and Reliable Man came through their respective warm ups well enough,so far so good.Laugh[;)]

Last year i backed WF before the Derby, immediately after and kept having a bit. When Harbinger hacked up i laid some off, then backed him and laid him. This went on for ages and was getting nowhere,in the end i compromised and let it ride.

The molerat told me 3 or 4 days before he was fine, after the race he said euraqhunt for not keeping in touch, laid off too much.SadCry

Yep he did get the run though Glen. For a horse thats won both a Derby and an Arc it still isn't easy to judge him re ability, his best performance came on top of the ground at Epsom  but he's flopped at Ascot and he's a narrow arc winner in a troubled race which we've still to judge the quality

Very happy to nail my colours to the mast of Nathaniel.

Can't understand why he's not shorter than he is - yes, the King George was messy but it was messy for him too. All you naysayers suggesting he got the run of the race and doesn't have a turn of foot are barking up the wrong tree - he didn't want to make the running at Ascot but was versatile enough to do it, and then he was the only one that quickened off it to dispel the myth that he is a grinder. Yes Workforce was not 100% but the excuses are stacking up now and Nathaniel was powering away from his field to win easily at the line.

He is the most progressive horse in the race - don't see how anyone can argue with that - and he acts with cut in the ground, stays wellm has been trained for the race, and hails from a Gosden yard that won the St Leger by bringing a horse long-targeted at that race to the boil absolutely perfectly for the big day.

As you can tell, for a change, I'm actually very confident on this one!

If SYT turns up he will win this race. I've stated it on here for a while & backed it up with plenty at various odds. I've also backed it to win the BC Classic. This horse is unusual not yet comparable to Frankel or STS but I don't think we've seen the best of him yet. He's done very little wrong in fact his defeat to Rewilding was poor tactics sent to the front far too early. He's beaten a few good yardsticks & can only beat what's put in front of him. As for the trip well we won't know till he tries it I've heard '10f specialist' & I've heard 'crying out for 12f' well only Ballydoyle will know. Even they might not be sure. This will be his first big test against the 'cream of the crop' & I believe he has the class to do it. My biggest worry is Meandre as the horse ticks all the boxes Fabre 3yo supplemented etc. Don't be fooled by the Prix Niel Guyon asked little of him & I suspect that was the plan in fact several french backers where annoyed to say the least. I'll be the first to hold up my hands if he runs poorly but if he wins it I hope his 'knockers' have the humility to say fair nuff.

Very interesting that Peslier said at the start of the season that the French 3yo fillies were better than anything in France, backed up by group one wins in all age/sex races for Moonlight Cloud and Immortal Verse. With this in mind I will be backing Galikova but my main bet will be on Nathaniel. Beat workforce before and will again because the 3yos are much better than the seniors. I wouldn't write off the Japanese horses either but I'm sticking to what has already been proved this year, can't see a reason why this years big race trends would change?

He has won an egg/spoon race at Sandown thats it this year, the stable have had a bad year and why won't Nathaniel improve further hes very lightly raced scopey horse?
