Slip Anchor retired at 3 i think

Sharastani was 2YO at that time

Think Slip Anchor ran as a 4yo. Didn't Phardante beat it?

Slip Anchor never won another race after the Derby, which was amazing given the style of his romp at EpsomShocked
Long time ago, but I think he may have been injured so perhaps no further win excusable.
Definitely ran as a 4yo - seem to remember him being 2nd at Newmarket but wouldn't swear on thatConfused

Pretty sure Shernazar beat Slip Anchor in the September Stakes...
Report millhouse July 22, 2011 4:58 PM BST

Report gerard July 22, 2011 4:59 PM BST

gives you some of the info

he was injured after the derby - ran a good race to finish 2nd to pebbles in champion stakes over 10f. the rest of his runs were probably below what you would have expected after epsom.

Newm Oct 19th 1985. Champion Stks
Pebbles 1st (what a horse she was)
Slip Anchor 2nd. 3 len.
Also ran: Palace Music, Helen Street, Vertige, Zaizafon, Vin de France, Comanche Run, Art Edict, Supreme Leader
Report thebrave July 22, 2011 5:07 PM BST
Was at Newmarket that day when Pebbles absolutely destroyed the field in the Champion Stakes - very few Group1's won in that style LoveGrin
Report PeteTheBloke July 22, 2011 5:09 PM BST
Races before that were September Stks (as mentioned above), the Derby and 3 Derby trials
