I actually dont mind them. Far better than his interviewing or presenting
By:
Just remind me.......who owned the second horse at Yarmouth?
Zealot - I hope you hate him with the zeal that I do. |
By:
i don't mind him either tbh...the thing is that he is happy to take the pi55 out of himself...along with plenty others...so he gets plenty of credit for that i think.

disgrace

he's an appalling(lip smacking) commentator

By:
I quite like him as well. Agree his commentaries are nauseous though; he is faking it.
By:
Thommo = Teflon ............. Take note Boris!
By:
Marvellous commentary for the 4:40 yarmouth.
I really enjoyed that. No problem with calling the winner on the line. Spot on. |
By:
He's miles ahead of the balloon who commentated on the 2.20 at Catterick yesterday. Don't Fight It.
According to him the winner "burst to the front" in the last twenty yards when it had broke well, been with the pace all the way and led a furlong and a half out. I'll take Thommo every day of the week thank you. |
By:
Thommo excels on tight turning tracks like Fakenham.
People turn up simply to hear his commentaries. ''The horses are down at the start, and so are the jockeys.'' It's gems like that which have contributed to his legendary status. |
By:
''the little horse'' in a recentish jumps race was a beauty must have said it about 10 times during his ever more frantic commentary
tbf it looked a bit smaller than rest but it was hardly a dwarf horse, he made it sound david and goliathesque ![]() |
By:
One thing Thommo doesn;t get is frantic. The champion of that particular trait is Darren the Dobber.
By:
Immediate pre-installing these bozos doing the 3.35 at Newmarket are discussing uncorking champagne! ffs.

Tommo and Cheese and Tomartlett Bartlett on mute today both absolutely utterly painful.
Infact a good reason why people will be losing interest in racing. Get rid of these Dinosaurs. |
By:
about time he was put out to pasture
By:
Just really tedious imo.
By:
Surely there are better folk for the job ??? Cringeworthy 90% of the time, even he must realise when he plays them back, must be potless and needs a pension top up. He still insists on trying to make a race which can be called 2 out sound like a bunch finish. !!
By:
Well said.

By:
born for SIS and blower service, fairytale commentating that no one can see to laugh at you
By:
Why did he think that repeatedly pronoucing Cuddly Dudley with a silly northern accent was even mildly amusing?
By:
My heart sank when I saw Minesbiggerthanurs was running at Wolves the other day in a race I wanted to watch. The barely concealed smirk was oh so predictable and sure enough...
By:
Lovely bit of Russian in the last race.
By:
LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS is the most pathetic line of all and has started saying it a couple of times a race.
People wonder why racing is dying...out with the old in with the new...beyond tedious. |
By:
You can’t blame him for collecting the cash…..
By:
Racing media and journos….pundits alike are all guessing and getting a right few quid…..
Number 4 on the weight cloth means it’s number 4 ……ffs….I will never forget it…… |
By:
Absolute pain listening to it. 3.35 Carlisle appears to see 7 runners even though there's only 6. Still chewing his mouth as well. Blithering idiot
By:
Blithering ….lol. I like it
By:
He's truly horrible. But I assumed it would be Owen at Carlisle and actually felt some relief when it wasn't. Still got the name dropping, arch patroniser Naughton though. Didn't we? isn't he? we did didn't we? As Mark was just saying to me just then, as you pointed out didn't you?

'commentaries are' is redundant in the headline
