REV
He broke a bone in his leg Sunday ![]() Horse are like humans ... some thick as fook but can run fast...some very clever but slow as fook Unfortunately he is the thick as fook kind and simple dosnt get it when it comes to fences... he really hasn't got a clue. Luckily the prognosis came back today from newmarket and he should be ok...touch wood. The we will go back over hordles and might even look at the flat as he was a nice bumper horse and is genuine and straight forward Gutted but at least he is fine...despite what the idiots say on here he means the world to us and his welfare is the main thing...he's a cracking good animal but has been unlucky with injuries GL |

rev we have been so so lucky
Our last 3 have won at least 4 races each Racing has not cost us a bean since we started as we have just kept rolling the money on and landed a couple of lovely touches. We have our lovely little mare Norton Sapphire in foal for the second time to Midnight legend. She is the toughest horse I have ever had anything to do with and can't wait to see here first foal run in a couple of years this game can be great and cruel but if its in u its in u. You also have to enjoy the race day itself and Tim Vaughan is an absolute gent as are his staff when you go to the yard...I love going racing with him and that is a big part of it. Our last trainer Victor Dartnall is imo in the top 4 or 5 trainers in the country...he is absolutely brilliant but we move our horses because the race day experience was ... shall we say... not great...its a shame because as i say the man is a BRILLIANT trainer and a nice guy but dunno why it didnt go well. How often do you see a Dartnall horse in a seller ??? the man can flat out rain and his brother Gerald is a fab judge of horse too. |

nice fun horse, not very big though and prob one who'll run in plenty of claimers off 10k so no one loses out if he got claimed. Type to run alot over 6-7f once season gets going so a good type if u like a summers day out up north. Ready to rock and roll with as well so no waiting about for months for it get fit.

Tim is just a really decent guy mate. Him his wife and the staff there are top notch even if you just pop in for a cuppa if your passing there is always a welcome. On Raceday Tim is a hive of activity and is often nailed to is phone talking with reporters other owners etc but he has time for all the owners and understands that the social side of it is a big part of the race day experience. I had horse with Brian Smart and you could not meet a more ignorant assshole in your life. If he even bothered to turn up at the course you would net see him until the paddock. I asked him about my horses chances one day at Ponty and his words verbatim were " why don't you ask the horse" I fukkin exploded on him and the following day my association was over... an ignorant priick. Tim is a workaholic yet is always smiling and is not affraid to give you an honest appraisel of your horse even if it is bad. Just a decent guy and a really decent outfit...No doubt we will be sending him the foal once she is ready |

Hi Joker, to my own admission my post yesterday did get little bit out of hand. I have been following racing roughly 12 months. However, I've only just joined the forum and what an introduction haha
I'm currently speaking to koo about potential shares in Sweets, more of a hobby and to see where it goes really. I dont have massive expectations other than being part of new experience and hopefully an enjoyable one |
