Since anybody who would have taken any notice of the tips to write them down and then go out to Billys, Flats, Corrals etc. to back them with their last two bob, would have listened very carefully, I'd say that they would've taken Ted's LAST WORD on the subject. i.e. he changed his mind to Captain Chris, based purely on value. Now, as a 2-bob ew punter, would you have written MEDERMIT (7/2) on your slip, or CAPTAIN CHRIS (9/1)?
