Just to clarify, are we supposed to BACK these or LAY them?
I know which would be more profitable! |

Donks
It's probably always best if you try to pick your own bets and then if you lose you only have yourself to blame. Sometimes I get it right but most times I get it wrong and always remember only bet what you can comfortably afford to lose.![]() |
By:
Let's hope the tide turns soon Billy you are on a extended losing run which can happen that's wehy a bankroll is essential here's hoping the next one wins.

Donks has surprised me TS, he was one of the few to comment when I was banging in the winners and nearly 300pts in profit a little while back. You have to take the rough with the smooth in this game, posting our fancies on here like yourself , therobster, Well Cheif and the likes have nothing to gain and everything to lose and after a winning spell people decide to follow and we all know what happens next. Very few can make a living out of horse racing, the key is to treat it as a hobby and enjoy it, find a winning method, have a large bank and back small. Easier said than done ![]() |

Lower than fishshit!? Ease off lads, I'm one of Billy's supporters. Just commenting on your current poor run. Only beaten a short head last night, so hopefully getting closer.
You're clearly snatching at chances at the moment. Maybe take your foot off the gas and take your time over fewer races. Tipping 5/1 shots e/w and 8/1 AND 4/1 shots in the same race is going to make it very difficult to show a profit. |

Best of luck Billy, it isnt without hope, I dont like the shape of the race but I can see White Shift giving another good account of it self back over this 6F with Shane Kelly in the saddle, she saves her better efforts for around here
By:
Unlucky Billy, beaten by the one horse who hasnt stayed six furlongs well enough in the past, last effort over 6F was in a seller where she was so far beaten she would have struggled to have got placed in a 0-40 contest, let alone win off 56 like tonight
By:
Billy I,like you,hit the odd winner on the evening AW stuff, but is is generally best left alone. Far too many know how a horse is going to run, before it has actually run.
White Shift 4.8 out to over 10,never ever at the races,is just one of many |
By:
Thanks Well Chief, I fancied White Shift myself and she looks a winner waiting to happen and is now dangerously well handicapped.
I thought the crafty Channon had been messing about with my fancy and I was nearly proved correct, they just missed out on their chance but she looks another that will lose her maiden sooner, rather than later. The last two have just been pipped at the post, things are looking up. ![]() 1st 2 Dorothy's Dancing (IRE) 9-2 2nd 6 Amazing Win (IRE) 8-1 3rd 8 Slatey Hen (IRE) 7-1 |

SAND SKIER 9/2 BOG LING 4-30
1pt win each 1pt double 9/2 both |
By:
GET CARTER is a winner of 4 races from 32 runs over 7f and 6f three times with each time returning favourite but hasn't darkened the winners encloser since April 2010. Since that sunny spring night in the early days of the flat on a Monday at Windsor this bay gelding has dropped from a mark of 80 to today's 68.
Back down to 7f after mainly running over a mile of late, drawn 8 of eight runners today looks ideal for Luke Morris to hold up GT and make his move a couple of furlongs out and flash down the Lingfield straight with his followers cheering from the packed Lingfield stands.. |
By:
Sadly it didn't work out that way. No excuses - the gap came and he just wasn't good enough.
By:
Your right Donks, you could of got a bus through the gap. Maybe needs Michael Caine to have a little word with.
Just need it all downhill now for SAND SKIER who could break his duck in handicap company and double his win record in one fell swoop.. |
By:
With a proper jockey you'd have been celebrating a winner there!
By:
just said that to my son. STRIDING EDGE the other stable horse was the same and appeared on here a few times before winning cosily. SS will come out and win in the near future with NN riding like a Demoness..
By:
Billy Get Carter Imo is a horse that is definitely worth keeping on side, the sluggish pace of the race would not have suited him... first 3 home were always in first 4 throughout, then Luke Morris proceeded to take him up the far side(slowest part of the track today), a true run 6F may be what he needs. And Sand Skier just simply bumped into a nicely handicapped one, simple as that!... Plenty of time to pull in the deficit, which I'm certain you will. GL
