There is no restriction on the use of the english language and posting of horseracing selections, if there was relay sites would have ceased years ago.
Relayline, Newbury, Castle, Goldline, Relayking are relay sites along with Relayman and to the best of my knowledge none have been sued as they have not committed any offence. |

whiskyvoucher joins today to post that ...
also interesting forum name and funny how previous poster on this thread used the rarely seen 'whisky voucher' wording .... ivorknackerov 06 Nov 10 22:14 Think it is about time all the whingers on here got a life! I bet one particular tipster relayed free by RM and had a nice 6/1 winner backed into 4/1 won about 8 lengths so someone was in the know with the selection. Relayman is a FREE site that gives advice, does not tell you what to put your whisky vouchers on and has a forum for the people to share views and opinions and occasionally differences of opinions! If anyone does not like the site they are free to leave but i hope the site continues and gets better now some of the dregs have been eliminated! ps: thanks for the bogus 6/1 winner today |

By:
It never fails on this forum, as soon as these charlatans are ridiculed, 'joined today'
posters appear to defend the indefensible. ![]() |

By:
Yes i am the same person but unfortunately BF insisted i change my username so i chose whisky voucher, i have not just joined, ok thats that out of the way.
All the professional whingers do not have to join Relayman or any other relay service, but for what Relayman charges compared to other relay sites i think it is excellent value for money and does what it says and relays tipsters who charge up to £2k a year for less than £8 a month. Read the tips and back them from whoever you consider worthwhile and leave the others or you could even join the tipsters direct and pay there full subscription price, turned out nice again after all...... |

The sites who charge members to get relayed selections are the ones in trouble
|
|
By:
surely relaying is theft.....they either sign up to a service and then pass on the data for profit or entice people to sign up to tipping services on the premise that they will then be given free tips from other services for passing on their purchased information - this is how Newbury Racing works...
Of bigger concern for this particular site (Relayman) is that they claim to have inside information and charge on that basis for inside information from the following yards... Michael Bell Henry Cecil John Dunplop Tom Dascombe Michael Stoute John Gosden "and many more" Now one suspects they merely trawl the individual websites of those owners and claim it as "inside information" in which case they are breaking Advertising Standards Authority guidelines. In the interests of fairness therefore the Advertising Standards Authority have been informed about the claims of inside information and charges as have those trainers listed as providing it..... If the ASA and the Trainers confirm that this is wholly legitimate then it will surely get in to the public domain - if not....then expect a hefty fine for breaking Advertising Guidelines... |
|
By:
Relayline, Newbury, Castle, Goldline, Relayking are some relay services that spring to mind and the facts are that some of them have been going many many years so there is no law preventing these sites from operating or they would have been closed down years ago.
If it was illegal then this site would have been closed down as almost daily members are relaying PW and/or PW extra from the racing post. |
|
By:
It is not illegal to take tips from newspapers or websites such as PW or PW extra.....of greater ambiguity and certainly of more interest to the ASA will be the fragrant theft of information from the likes of Mark Holder and Peter Naughton then sold on for PROFIT.....
There is nothing illegal in anyone coming on here and say "Peter Naughton tips.......xyz today"..... What is illegal in the eyes of the ASA is fo someone to obtain that information purely for means of business profit by selling it on without the express permission of the instigator of the information and I am aware of a number of tipping services including those named taking High Court action against various so called Relay-services that may well result in highly expensive fines and charges being levied.... |
|
By:
3 very high profile tipsters have got together to bring action against one relay service in the new year to make an example.Apparently it is all based on the fact like the above 'providing a service for profit'that involves intellectual copyright.
|
|
By:
whiskyvoucher - there has, in fact, been a court case and the relay agent was totally exonerated.
As you will see from my username rscaughtboy is nothing more than a worthless stalker - I can assure you that you do not need to take a single word that he says seriously. |
|
By:
I would be very surprised if any tipster was to bring about a successful prosecution of a relay service, some may have tried and failed and will be lumbered with a huge legal bill, this will be enough to ensure they do not attempt prosecutions.
The main culprits for relaying tipsters selections are other tipsters who claim they are there own tips. Here are my top tips today, please feel free to follow or ignore: 2.00 Uprise - win bet 2.10 Gabriel the Great - win bet 5.10 Miss Topsy Turvy - win bet |

Getting brave Fraudboy? Defending conmen is probably no surprise to the forum given your previous.
Unlike you I abhor the thought of anyone being ripped off.Only a few years since I was the best tipping service ever seen in the UK,doing it in my spare time whilst still in the mob. All changed when they tried to do the same as the Winning Line did to Dave Nevison i.e tips every day, keeping people on the line for ever. Much money offered and refused,my info was such a shaming success your amateurs at the RP had a 24/7 lookout to take down posts. All free of course and the success continues, free of charge. Already smashed one outfit, any others ripping off old folks or anyone for that matter will get the same treatment. No need for law courts btw.[;)][:(] You are either brave or stupid Fraudy, the latter imo.[;)] ![]() |

Relaying does have its place within the sport but as with most things in life, those running them are only as good and have as much integrity as the people doing the relaying.
If I wanted to subscribe to a tipster but felt the charges were too high, then going via a relaying operator at a reasonable price seems to me to be little different to roping in a few mates to split the cost and then sharing the info between us all. Where things start to get a bit murky is if the relay agent charges an unreasonable price in relation to what they pay to subscribe themselves and also if there are doubts about the validity of the selections they are passing on. For example if a tipsters charges £250 for the year for tips then the relay agent only needs 25 punters at £10 a pop to cover the cost of that. Fair enough they will have other expenses too like admin costs, phone calls and so on and they obviously want to pay themselves a wage and make a living out of it all too. No doubt there will be times when, they get many more than the 25 punters required or some will ask for a larger fee from punters than they should but I suppose it all boils down to what they do with the extra money coming in really. As for intellectual copyright, that's a non starter as the original tipsters don't actually own anything anyway. |

Lammtara if studying form was the be all and end all most on here would be millionaires, form in black type races possibly but for the rest very iffy.

to be fair I have on occasion used this service and a couple of weeks ago they had a blinder at ayr !
magical macy Won @ 25/1 and mayoman to place @ 18/1 the the same day they had Coolminx win @ 20/1 and silke top at 11/10. Then at the weekend they had jeu de viver at 11/1 and a number of others around the 6 - 10/1 mark. been checking them on and off since and they put up a 22/1 winner a couple of days ago ..think it was called marketpuzzle ..utterly friendless in the market and not tipped anywhere ? Now I subscribe to plenty of services and tipsters etc and these horses and the ones I have recieved since have NOT been put up by anyone else that I have seen ? This that know me on here are awarethat I am primarily a layer and I often use the tip lines to see which horses will be overbet and therefore no value etc. But to be fair not everyone is a shyster. You certainly cannot put this lot in the same boat as Brimardon !!!!! |

The whole point though Wolber is that they ARE NOT Relayman tips....they are someone elses that RELAYMAN charge you for under false pretences....
Thats the FRAUD that relayers perpetrate... The BIGGER fraud of this site is the GOLD service which CLAIMS to have inside information from trainers which is simply "in the public domain free at the point of source blog info" packaged up as Insie information and sold on at considerable cost... It is that part of this charade that the ADVERTISING STANDARDS AUTHORITY are investigating.... If it was put up as "information gleaned from trainers" and NOT charged for......like some relay/information sites do - like Herbie Fogg and Matt Bisnorgo then that would be fine and dandy...but this method of charging for free information is mis-representation that will land this service with a hefty fine at best and huge charges at worst.... |
|

newbury £300 per year, tips only
relayline £40 per month, tips only relayman £7.99 per month, tips, customer service, stable e-mails, friendly forum I will let people decide for themselves who are the charletons? |
|
By:
so they are basically co alating a load of premium info and adding it to their own sources and form study and charging people 29 quid amonth ? is that the set up .
Not sure about the legals but that sounds like a f**ckin bargain to me ! ,.. and no I am not bigging them up , but info is key in this game as we all know. I must admit I have a bigger issue with c00nts selling my phone number and email addy on to ****s like the guy who has just text me asking me to ring some number at £1.50 a minute !!I get about 10 a day and its driving me insane |
|
By:
WOLBER...
As evidenced on here though some of the info they pass on as "premium rate service info from "fred bloggs".....ISN'T what FRED Bloggs is tipping up! Furthermore they are charging for GOLD service and simply cutting and pasting info directly from Trainers websites!.... If you want to join a FREE Forum there are hundreds.....some have perfectly good "amateur" tipsters on...who charge NOWT......others will pass on stuff from Tipsters they use - again for nowt..... that is being fair and ethical... What isnt fair or ethical or 100% legal under the new ASA guidelines is shisters like this proporting to have information that isnt information but made up tips sold as someone elses when it isnt... There are a lot of gullible people out there falling for this.... AND YEP...these cretins also sell on your info and you get bombarded....how do I know - I subscribed to relayman for a month and cross checked his data....60% WAS MADE UP.....all of the Gold information took 10 mins to source FREE OF CHARGE.....and the Forum....well if you can call a Forum a Forum with less than 10 active members of whom 5 were clearly the same guy....then you carry on mate....call it a Forum.... As for customer service......sending an email with 30 tips on it 5 minutes before the first race aint what I call customer service.....neither is 20 of them being newspaper naps at odds on or evens.... BUYER BEWARE! |
