so you wouldn't pull a group 1 race, but it's ok to not give an odds on favourite a hard race in one.
i see ...... |

The man who can get Golden Horn and Foundation beaten has LEFT the premises!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By:
Listening to Herbert who looked shellshocked Dettori hasn't held his hands up and has blamed it on the other horses. Poor form even for one as arrogant and big headed as him.
By:
coolmore were a disgrace in that race, lets be honest
By:
what a load of tosh. Worth millions if he keeps his unbeaten record complete jokers
By:
Brave call to say the best horse won imo. I would make Foundation favourite to beat the winner next time they meet.

Pure Fwankie blaming everyone else....
![]() ![]() ![]() I LOVE EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Jockeys have to walk thru a passage in the crowd to get from parade ring to weighing room, bet that was interesting
By:
think he'll do a Jourbert on it haha
By:
Barton, I was waiting on Foundation for a dbl with Light Music, my main bet today by some way, but I wasnt surprised at all by the winner and I dont think Foundation would have beat him, it was a terrible ride from Frankie and also poor show from Coolmore but its great to see the little guys get a nice horse, the interview with the owners and girl who rides him was brilliant to see

By:
Foundation to me isnt a Derby horse and he isnt good enough to win a Guineas, hes another Carlton House type at very best.
By:
Oneyall; IF they meet again, I think you know which way it will turn out next time. I agree with you regarding the Derby, as I was really impressed with Idaho the other day. However, whichever way you look at it, we did not see the best of Foundation today

hulk - "so you wouldn't pull a group 1 race, but it's ok to not give an odds on favourite a hard race in one."
If you don't understand the difference between "pulling" a horse and not giving one a hard race. You are in the wrong sport ![]() |

The most interesting factor for me was that they raced down the stands rail. Over the 2 days at Donny all races on straight track they have raced down the centre.
Seems strange that in a group 1 race the jockeys decided to race on the stands side where jockeys have more chance of being blocked in. |
By:
look at the way the 3 coolmore jockeys looked at each other in the stalls, they knew exactly what they were about to do, they would have gotten away with it too if it wasnt for Marcel
By:
its one thing running a pacemaker, but these team tactics from ballydoyle are beyond a joke at times
By:
Why doesn't anyone on the racing channels ever question the Coolmore tactics? That's one of the most disappointing things. The racing media refuses to rock the boat, too many gravy-trainers, the R.Post a mouthpiece for the bookies, we even had a numpty from winner.com being given air time on The Morning Line this am - a joke firm who will close you if you have the audacity to have a £10 winner at 4-1. There is no critical, investigative journalism in racing. Ever.
By:
What was he to do? Did he have to lead? If he leads he may well win. But clearly tactics were to take a pull. He was blocked, nowhere to go. Get over yourselves. It happens.

you are very angry ivynook.

they done what they set out to do, Dettoris hands were pretty much tied from early in the race, it was a trap, he would have had to go about 6 wide when he actually wanted to make his move, he should have went wide imo but waited for the gap, he would have lost ground going wide but at least he could have got the horse going sooner, still dont think he could have won no matter what he done the way the race panned out
By:
Its no wonder 99% of people lose as gamblers cos ive never read as much utter rubbish in my life...
watch it again...he was trapped behind 3 horses who stayed side by side for 3 f and he simply had no-where to go...its racing,,it happens every day. |
By:
should off used his helicopter.
By:
just inside the 2 he had conceded first run to the winner but he had the chance then to go wide and he didnt take it, the bird had probably flown anyway
obviously with hindsight he would take a tug earlier but he must have been expecting Deuville to go on and leave the gap to track him through, it looked horrendous but its easy to sit and dissect it after the race |
By:
if foundation ran against marcel 10 times it would win all 10.
By:
for anybody to excuse a jockey who gets boxed in for 3f in a 7 runner race on a straight track clearly knows nothing about the game.
By:
not excusing him..wasnt a good ride but for anyone to suggest something untoward needs sectioned.
By:
Look at deauville and were he finished marcel could be a very good horse getting no credit at all.
