the budapest bullet OVERDOSE when he won the voided abbaye
was the fastest thing you are ever likely to see.

I would have to also go with Overdose.

He took of like a bat out of hell then quickened up.

No horse in history has shown speed like him

About 20 years ago there was a horse that was'nt a thooughbred but it used to turn up at tracks and run a timed 3-4 furlongs and it smashed the thoroughbred times by miles...

cant remember the name but I definately remember seeing it/

the guy who used to compile all the speed ratings ,he used to have his own section in the weekender, most people regarded him as the best in that sphere [;)] used to talk about dosage index ,to determine if a horse could stay e.t.c his system works 99% off the time .

Dancing Brave clocked the last 5 furlongs of the Arc quicker than the winner of the prix De labbaye that same year.

That may mean very little tho as the veteran Carraciola clocked the last 6 furlongs of the Queen Alexandra quicker than the 6f Golden Jubilee in 2009 winner the same day either the clerk had waterd out the bias & more on the stands side overnight or henderson was keeping a sprinting stars true talent hidden you decide.
