What chance have you got.......

Charles Byrnes found himself in trouble with the Listowel stewards after Pittoni finished fourth in the Listowel Races Supporters Club Slan Abhaile (Q.R) Race.

Byrnes was found guilty of using the racecourse as a schooling ground for the Grade One-winning hurdler, who was in rear in the early stages before finishing to good effect.

Brynes was fined €2,000, jockey Derek Fox was banned for seven days and Pittoni was banned from running for 42 days.

An angry Byrnes intends to appeal and said: "I did not stop that horse today and will appeal without a shadow of a doubt.

"I was happy with the ride he received and a more experienced rider would have sat up on him a lot earlier. Pittoni is a one-paced horse and his rider was pushing him out the whole way."

It was a disgraceful show by Pittoni, and in my opinion blatant. The market told the story - 2s (and shorter right out to around 4s. Horse was never put in race at nay stage an d then flew home in the straight. If Byrnes appeals he will lose. It was so blatant for everyone to see, and to cap it all the best backed horse in the race won and Pittoni lost out in a photo for third!

This inicdent, and the one at Newbury where the starter did not notice handlers in the stall with Regal Aaproval and Fallon off the horse when starting the race really annoyde me yesterday.

The Newbury inicdent in particular was outragous. How the horse could be deemd a runner is unbelievable. It was also very fortunate that the horse didn't jup when the stalls opened. the handlers had it's head to one side, and it could easily have been seriously injured or even fatally. This plus the fact that bookies on the track didn't class it as a non-runner was a total disgrace to the sport

"I was happy with the ride he received and a more experienced rider would have sat up on him a lot earlier" what a load of bull!! he puts a kid on board for a reason, the reason been if they get caught they just hang him out to dry, charles byrnes is at this day in day out in ireland,he gets away with it 95% of the time.leaves a sour taste in the mouth

Actually will agree with starspangle here (first time for everything) Shocked and jenny

What should happen if he appeals and loses, is double/triple the ban and fine. Bottom line is it may seem to happen more in Ireland but plenty of non triers over here as well. Could probably get in double figures day in day out but nobody does anything about it. The presenters on tv are just on the gravy train who will not criticise anything/anyone. Did anyone actually rip into frank spencer yesterday for his ride on tiddliwinks (a horse backed from 10s to 4s). I did not hear one thing said - I was only watching channel 4 at the time though. Something would have been mentioned if it was some apprentice though no doubt.

This whole sport has gone down the pan, and the people at the top do not want to do anything about it because it would mean getting rid of people in their own little clique who are earning (sorry taking) fortunes from the sport.

Bookies couldn't give a flying fcuk about punters one bit yet want to cry wolf when a gamble pays off so is anyone surprised with yesterdays antics?

How many 'new' people want to get involved in betting on racing when it is thought as being corrupt across the board - NONE. Young people would rather have a bet on football which is seen as straight to them. Courses just want to rip people off from the entrance fee to the awful food and drink and wonder why attendances are down.

The sport is going down the pan so quick and everyone can see what is wrong yet nothing is being done about it at all.

one foot i actualy made a lot off moey last year doing them , it does not matter if the team is say 1-5 you still get around 6/1
for the score i usualy look for a couple off teams that dont let many goals in, when the season gets into full swing ,i also do trebles 2x2x3= 12 bets pays ave 300/1  another wee bit advice is if you fancey it to be a realy tight game , never do 0-0 always do no goal scorer the odds are the same but if its an own goal you get paid out, try doing it for £1 stakes and see how you get on ,m8
you get you only have to get the bet up 1 in 10 times to make decent profit.  my m8 done it on 4 scores for 50p lines and got back around £1300 its just a nice wee bet for punters who like a dabble on the horses and the footie . i think the bottem horse in the 2nd race at ham has a great chance off a place ,as long as goldie locks does not instruct the laddie to just hunt it round Confused
