Hi guys, ive not been hiding! been having major troule getting on here again with internet.
I did thing the horse was given too much to do by O'Brien, but the drift told the story in the end. Like I have said before you can't win all the time! ![]() I did back one that was gambled ealier today which got the damages back - but sounds like aftertiming now! Anyway the one i really like the look of tonight in Moobeyn in the 7.25 at wolves. Check out its last run. Really strong maiden in which Harris Tweed finsihed behind. Race thrown up lots of winners and horse has now been gelded, has blinkers on for the first time, a nice opening handicap mark and Hughsee on top. Think it will take all the beating. As usual - Good luck whatever you decide[;)] |

All,
It is good to see a thread talking about racing and sharing thoughts. I'm not hardened punter as work all week so don't get to see enough racing and study the form. However love the weekends when better racing and easier to look at things. Unfortunately missing this weekend but not too unhappy as in Spain playing golf. Had a look at Sat's cards and this is what I like the look of Victoire de Lyphar - if drawn in right place, get nice tow into race from Johnny Mudball and stiffer 6 furlongs what it wants. Nicholls been looking after it, not much racing to protect mark. Only negative might get boxed in as it can struggle to go early pace. Breakheart in big handicap Newbury Total Gallery - might be a decent price and in lower grade in Newbury Sprint Rigidity - 4.40 Newmarket - if ground is good or softer Montparnasse - 3.30 Newmarket - progressive 3 yo so getting loads of weight Have a very successful weekend and I will try and get my bets on at some stage and then leave it alone until next weekend |

On looking at paper this morning notice the stick readings that indicate far side is faster. Last year early indications were there you needed to be high and then it transpired had to be low. Ground seems to be drying and so if no more significant rain I think the same may happen.
Thought it quite interesting that Goldie put his horse in the middle so it can follow the pace/ground wherever that may be. Decided to now also back one drawn low as those prices might contract considerably if that proves to be the case. Whilst like the look of riley, have gone with Partner e/w |

Morning guys, still havin proiblems with comp. Keeps disconnecting when i come on forum but ok with rest of the site[>o][>o]
Still looking through today's cards. Will post my selections soon though. Can't make mine mind up about the Ayr Gold Cup just yet. Although Hawkeyethenoo does look to have good credentials, a nice draw and pace to chase. |
|

Some tricky races today, and i'm still not totally convinced that high numbers will have a big advantage come the Ayr Gold Cup tomorrow!
In today's Bronze Cup I am therefore having two bets - one drawn high and the other low. I think Cheveton has a lot going for him, and hopefully his ground at last. Ran very well at Sandown the other day and desserves to win a race like this. Back down to a nice handicap mark and Dale Swift takes a further 5lb off his back. 16-1 looks overpriced to me (had him in at 12s best on my tissue) and definitely worth an each-way interest. The other I will be having a saver on is Sunrise Safari. He's a monkey who's hard to win with but is good on his day and has run well in this before. I think he is well suited by a big field and plenty of pace to chase, and at 40-1 (around 60s on here) could run into a place. Earlier on the card I am very sweet on the chnaces of Berberana in the nursery at 2.45. Has some solid form in the book and ran a cracker last time otu from an unfavourable draw. I am told that this has been her target for a while and stable are confident she will take all the beating. The Fahey horse is obviously the main danger, but at 4-1 Berberana looks an each-way bet to nothing in my book. Good luck whatever you decide ![]() |
