Proudly announced on RUK that he is freelance now so no longer rides for Tom George but now gets all the plum rides for Miss Knight.  Also reckoned he was still second jock to Venetia even though Aidan Coleman drove from Worcester to Uttoxeter on Sunday to ride Alexander The Great.  Funny thing was Sam had a mount there in the last but it was withdrawn.  Suffering more delusions than the great J A McGrath imo!

jmcd Sam thomas IS 2nd jockey to VW and hes still avery young lad - he was her 1st jockey and had been with her from the start. She was devastated when  Nicholls offered him 2nd to Ruby. He only got that offer because C williams had broken his leg. What happened regarding him being jocked off Denman was very unfair IMO. He then Joined Tom george and Tom has not been able to increase his string as wished - due to the recession and can't afford a retained jockey.
Sam's move is a smart one IMO as i'm sure it will get him more rides next season.
I think he will get great support from both Tom George an Venetia and many more.

Dundalk i agree and better than A Coleman IMO - I't would not surprise me to see him back as 1st choice next year to VW.

Thereis no chance of Thomas EVER being no 1 choice at V.Williams again ,as for Tom George not having enough horses to retain  him why did he take the stable jockeys job on there when he knew the nos of horses George has in his stable? As far as Im aware the numbers have not dropped
the only thing that has been dropped is Sammy!!Sam also said he is getting the best rides at H. Knight -a has been trainer who has about 10 horse in her stable!There are three meetings in the uk today over jumps 2 of which are in the south yet Sammy has to go all the way to Perth (the most northerly) to get a ride, work it out for yourself.
