driver 2 Barney gets a lot of flak because his horses only run to there best once in a blue moon, as you correctly say when the money is down. The problem is when the money isn't down they run shocking, so in other words he is a cheat, no question about it, and in this country most people don't like somebody who cheats, its a simple as that
Get a horse rated 89, run it down the field a few times on purpose so everywon thinks it's rubbish, get its mark down to 63 then release the handbrake, feed it and stuff like that and then BOOOOOOOM back it off the boards. Job dun. Well shrood that....

wallace 007 I agree with what you say regarding betting his horses,and that cheating goes on in most walks of life, I am not pocket talking I was just answering the headline question, maybe I should have put it a bit more clearly so here goes. The reason Barney Curley gets a lot of flak is NOT because he is a cheat but because he is without doubt a BLATANT CHEAT.I doubt the connections of the horses who finish second to his many gambles will be too happy with him.
But then the punters who follow him are (for a change) delighted. Normally the trainers and jockeys that cheat us are not so transparent and for me BC is a breath of fresh air. Just stop being so righteous and get on with the rest of us. Gambling and morality have never gone hand in hand and I suggest you shouldn't be on here laptop.

laptop,I don't mean to offend you, but you seem to find the immorality of gambling distastful. Ok, Barney is blatant, but at least we can benefit.
