If i back someone at 7/4, and they tie in first place with 1 other person, am i right in thinking ill get 1/2 the odds, if so what odds will i be paid out at? Thanks

half your stake goes on at 7/4
the other half your stake is counted as a losing bet

I think Betfair rules are different though, I remember feeling hard done by when I had a deadheat when I'd used Betfair.
dont know about a TIE in a human contest but a dead heat in racing is PAID OUT TO HALF YOUR STAKE
so £100 @7/4 win would return £175 PLUS stake ie £275 return
Dead heat would return £50 @7/4 =£87.50 plus stake=£127.50

Full odds to half the stake............you lose the other half of the stake.
its on cricket, top wicket taker, at a normal bookies.
