Just make sure you are insured, they will Disq with no insurance.
Report MikeWood May 4, 2010 9:18 AM BST
No tax = no insurance i believe.
Report vodka brook May 4, 2010 9:19 AM BST
yep insurance is fine but hav't got tax on it and sold it and they want it dropping off in london... not sure
Report ged May 4, 2010 9:26 AM BST
I think the only excuse for driving with no tax is to take the car to a pre-booked MOT.
Report infomaniac May 4, 2010 9:29 AM BST
tow it
Report ged May 4, 2010 9:31 AM BST
I think you need tax for that too
Report in hell May 4, 2010 9:33 AM BST
no tax means no insurance

Owner gets fined or opportunity to pay the tax (from when it expired)
You deny everything and say you weren't aware that VEL was expired.
If Police have a road check camera on the route it will show up via Number Plate Recognition and likely they will pull you over.

Then tax it and get the money from the people he sold it to, after all they are going to have to tax it innit.

Car will be taken from you. You will have to buy tax and pay to get the car back.
Report Phone-Keys-Wallet May 4, 2010 9:36 AM BST
tell them (the buyer) to collect

Borrow someone elses tax disc and change the plates to suit. Take a gun and wear a disguise........should be ok.

Book an MOT test near to where you are dropping car off in London, then say if challenged you did not know it already had one. Then cancel test (at no charge) after you have delivered it. Long as car is 3 years old and has insurance. Sorted.

gmt - a tad excessive but probably the best solution
Report fudgey May 4, 2010 10:09 AM BST
As said NO TAX = VOID INSURANCE and car will be siezed..FACT !!

How long you had licence?  Could take you over 6 points if only 2years then redo test!!
