I think the only excuse for driving with no tax is to take the car to a pre-booked MOT.

You deny everything and say you weren't aware that VEL was expired. If Police have a road check camera on the route it will show up via Number Plate Recognition and likely they will pull you over. |

Borrow someone elses tax disc and change the plates to suit. Take a gun and wear a disguise........should be ok.

Book an MOT test near to where you are dropping car off in London, then say if challenged you did not know it already had one.Then cancel test (at no charge) after you have delivered it. Long as car is 3 years old and has insurance. Sorted.

How long you had licence? Could take you over 6 points if only 2years then redo test!!
