as an ex employee I can shed some light on this, they settle bets on first past the post basis, ( not like england were they settle bets on official result first ) so they are covered by there rules, on page 1 of there rule folder.
Report Tweak May 3, 2010 8:38 PM BST
WH paid 1st passed the post.
Report towcester judge May 3, 2010 8:38 PM BST

Report Hami May 3, 2010 9:13 PM BST
should have paid you out fully mate , would kindly tell them you will seek legel action and it wont be to long before they pay you
Report towcester judge May 3, 2010 9:22 PM BST
the bet was settled correctly, as there rule book states, all bookies have different rules, there state they pay bets on a first past the post basis, not official result.
They are good bookies paying 1/4 odds e/w all races, you can take the best of any bookies prices on british football matches, take the best of all bookies prices on the golf.

when I was there a customer had a 50c ew acca were fpp a 50/1 shot dead heated ( his selection ) the horse it dead heated with was disqualifed and the 50/1 shot became the official winner, he was paid 9k for his acca, but every other bookie would of given him 18k.

rules are rules, page 1

if thats the rules then so thats the end of the dispute.onwards and upwards
Report dannyt May 3, 2010 9:54 PM BST
just wait they said they pay first past the post not the official result
Report heezagoodoperator May 3, 2010 10:00 PM BST
I can't understand why they are paying you for 200 @ 9/2 at all! By their rules you should not get anything. Bad they don't pat double results though. It looks like the cashier didn't even know the rules when he took the 800, isn't their maximum 100e/w or 200win?
Report all over May 3, 2010 10:12 PM BST
heezagood operater they do pay double result on all single horsebets they even have the cheek to put large adds in the local papers telling everyone about it and trying to let everybody think they are looking after there customers till u go and try to get paid
Report bodey May 3, 2010 10:25 PM BST
mc brides are normally good payers
Report heezagoodoperator May 3, 2010 10:25 PM BST
According to you they DO pay double result?! There seems to be different angles on this thread.
It seems like a farce to me now and I would be furious. They must pay you 1,700 if they are paying you for 200 on a 9/2 winner, plus your stake back 800!
Report bodey May 3, 2010 10:26 PM BST
which shop was it,bridgend
Report Chris B May 3, 2010 10:35 PM BST
If their rules state that they pay First Past The Post, and not Official Result, IBAS will find in their favour. I can tell you from experience that IBAS will not go against a bookmakers's rules, even if those rules have been backdated after the bet has been placed. Unbelievable, but true.

RTFR applies to all bets.

RTFR = Read the fecking rules (before betting).

Then you don't have to accuse the bookmaker of ripping you off.
