Francome:
Definitely keep it. Would even keep it in France. No chance.

Could be one of the most stupid comments ever in Ch4 history

"If the race was another 100 yards, then which would have won" .... somewhat superciliously.

Well, John, the race was NOT over, "another 100 yards."

Francome made a complete rick saying the result would have stood in France never mind England. Obvious the French filly was taken sideways and the jockey of Cecil's horse had his whip in the wrong hand when the bump occured. Channel 4 jumped the gun announcing the 'winner' several times and putting the owner through the mill. Commiserations to connections of Jacqueline's Quest but the stewards were spot on imo.

Francombe shouls know better than to make off the cuff uninfrmed remarks like that, he has gone down in my estimation.

Is Francome really interested in racing, anymore ?

Seems to treat it, and the viewers, with disdain for some years now.

He seems to think that we are lucky to be watching him.

No wonder his autobiography was called - 'Born Lucky'.

he is a complete waste of space as a pundit commentator. Does anybody remember him saying at the Chester May meeting "if horse X has been beaten in the photo I will cut every blade of grass on the Roodeye" Perhaps C4 should suggest that he has a go at Newmarket for making such a stupid comment today. Switch over and lister to Steve Mellish.
Finally why did it take so long for C4 to show the head on? Oh yes to make time for an inane interview from Emma Spencer - another waste of space. Get it sorted C4

Everyone bar Francome (and maybe Queally) emerges with credit from this.
Head, Pasquier, Noel Martin, Cecil, the stewards' secretary.
But Francome. He just kept digging a bigger and bigger hole for himself.

Still going on about, "who would have won in another 50 yards?"

Totally irrelevant reference..

Just like 'Fergie's watch' - 'would have scored if the ref had played another .... '
