I've never known a pundit who can over complicate races to the extent that he will put you off more winners in big races than he will give you. New Approach (can't win Derby won 5/1) and Big Brown (can't lose Belmont lost 3/10) on the same day in 2008 being a good example. Anybody with common sense would have looked at the 7/1 available on New Approach during the day and at least had a saver on it. Anybody with common sense would have looked at the 3/10 and known there was a risk with thecracked a hoof substained during the Preakness.

Having said that his talk bo!!ocks style can be entertaining, although I thought his "people no longer living with horses / social resonance" quote was a low point. Anybody have the full text of that?
