yup...dont give up on Sidney's Candy...he's an ol' fashioned dirt horse...absolute BRUTE....stall 20 might be perfect....think about it...out wide and u avoid all that slop flying back at you.
After watching the works the other day backed Dublin just because he looked like a different horse tuned right up and I also had a play on Discreetly Mine
that informed decision didnt deserve that. cmon retire her to the paddocks FFS.

Shouty Man's style is certainly a bit more suited to Churchill Downs than rainy Redcar.

apart from the fav (lousy gate) i can make a case for:
nobles promise, ice box, conveynance and at a big price homeboykris
boxing them for the exacta leaving out l@l, can see the fav getting into a mess especially if trying to get on the front early

Thanks jmc, will be interesting to see how they got on, still not really sure how sloppy going translates (i.e in the same way heavy does on turf).

Happens ELG. It can't be that bad if you're picking unlucky in-running seconds, obviously doing something right so the winners normally come in time. Thats what I try to convince myself anyway after long runs of seconds or horses who endure trouble in running but finish well.
He really is calvin bo-rail. His 3 derby's have come from the inside.
All the others were out wide and he just hugged the rail all the way round pretty much, rides the track so well.
Icebox did get stopped but lookin at lucky had no luck at all at the start ...
don't they go up 2 furlongs in the next leg ? ice box was finishing 2 for 1
that overhead is a superb shot. Icebox very unlucky was flying round the bend and then ran into the back of horses losing momentum before picking up again with a proper rattle
drop half a furlong at pimlico then step up to 12 at belmont.
