Should be free entry to all courses, take over the catering contracts and charge bookies a fee based on attendance.
If attendance doubles, bookies pay a slightly higher fee.
If Towcester can do it, then its time to get the others on board.

to be fair im a big football fan , but given the choice of football or a night at the races , the races would win every time and at £22 it aint cheap but compared to football its cheap, i think racing fans are lucky it aint the price of a football match , in saying that it should be free to enter racing especially for kids! would help younger people get in to a trully great sport that we have!

If you are just paying for the racing at a flat venue, then for the same price as your matchday ticket you are getting around 8-10 minutes of actually action compared to 90 +, also, you can still get a burger for £2.50, It was over £6 last year at Goodwood. A joke.

jmdc 30 Apr 22:00 STV - how much was members? I paid £20 in December 2008.
The members area is currently under redevelopment and due to reopen in August.
What the day members price will be I do not know, but as an annual member for 20 years I shall not be renewing as, to pay for the fancy new facilities, which have nothing to do with racing, the annual member's fee is going up by 30%.
Thanks Northern Racing for your appreciation of my loyalty and goodnight.

Great idea. So we have a free day out surrounded by 500 bus loads of "friday night" drunken louts carrying on into Saturday having fastest pint drinking competitions and half of them in fancy dress, and ruining it for the few thousand genuine racegoers.

fontwell went from a gem of a course to a khazi in record time once phil bell and his merry men took over this new stand could become a white elephant as proper racing folk wont be paying the extortionate prices to use it and dont fancy their chances of filling it on a wet tuesday with the much lusted after corporate crowd as an ex annual member who feels totally alienated by the cretins who run this place i hope the new project turns out to be a monumental failure

The 22 quid clearly wasn't justified by the 6 races that were put on, with 2 of them sellers in all but name.
If Abba (not my cup of tea, tbf) had been playing then the price would have been a bargain. But a phuucking tribute band?! They are 2 a penny and cost 2s6d to put on, ffs!
The dumbing down of the racing product at Fontwell by Northern Racing is a disgrace. Prize money has fallen to such an extent that a once mid table course is now, along with Hexham, propping up the UK Prize Money Table.
They have already built a pub and a hotel on the racecourse. A shopping centre and housing estate cant be far off.
