Well Graham I see you have reported a loss of 7.55 points for April, so after last years debacle, when at least you had the good grace to stop,I wonder how long you will continue to take £35 per month from guillable punters TO LOSE THEM MONEY.
Have you no shame?

I have no idea why he bothers to destroy his own carefully maintained media image by auditing himself. Surely he would be better off diverting funds from his website designer to more media training. Maybe he could employ a "jokes man" for some more 1 liners al la Couch.

He talks a good game but seeing those rseults he obviously don't play anything like he talks!!!

Quality racing this weekend and you're tackling a guy who charges a shade over £1 per day for his selections? You'll never end tipping so just enjoy the racing.
Report the mole May 1, 2010 11:15 AM BST
One suggestion for GC if he is reading this.

Newcomers to the BM site would just now see a load of "locked" content. Why don't you unlock some of the stuff (after the event obviously) so prospective punters could see the logic + thought processes that are going into the selections?

Here's the deal. I work as hard as I can. Sometimes I win, other times I lose. I've been lucky enough to come across some great people in trying to get a useful business going. And I've been unlucky enough to come across some anonymous rats who try to be extremely destructive about a service that - unlike so many - is completely clear and accountable. On occasion I've been guilty of getting too fiery about the destructive characters. Now it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I don't plan to post again. I do plan to keep grafting in the hope that I can make my site as useful as possible to those who have paid their hard earned. Hope this helps.

Then he is a one off, as I would hazard a guess that there is no other pundit, tipster, has done the same so we must beg to differ my opinion is that he looks the part speaks well. has a great knowledge of the game. and is 100% honest in his record keeping.
I would say if he loses his job then he could always become the next Pope.

The question that matters with regard to a tipping line is not as some on here (chomy, ybor, etc) as to wether you like or don't like the person behind it,is a simple one,why does the owner feel its more profitable to sell their tips to others rather than just back them themselves....

I could understand your view if someone was selling "inside info" but if a tipster decides to set up a tipping site using form to select winners/losers then it's surely up to the indervidjals to decide what to do !

i have never met gc, so have no reason to be pro or anti.
it is obvious that he is a well clued in racing pundit, that "qualification" does not guarantee that you can make racing pay. whether you choose to follow gc's sels or otherwise is a personal decision, i suspect that many people including those who subscribe to his service value his opinion and on any given day can choose to punt or pass on the given sel.

gc does not go down the ridiculous scatter gun approach favoured by some of his competitors, it is not an easy task trying to make a level stakes profit over a given period as the sels have to be supplied a certain time in advance, and in real punting terms the closer you punt to the off the better, for a variety of reasons.

i wish gc well with his service, and the ironic rub for his "knockers" is that i bet most of them for all their criticism would still want to know his daily sels, a sort of back handed complement.

£35 a month is about the equivalent of making 5 phone calls to that shady duo, Thompson & Nevison.

GC has had the courage to post his P&L, something that Thompson & Nevison have resisted for years despite their outrageous claims in their daily adverts.

I wish GC well but wonder for how long he will be able to run with this.

Caveat Emptor, newboy77, yfsc.

Whilst still free, yifter notched up 10pts win in March, so you are still 3pts to the good following his tips. Assuming the process is the same under subscription as it was when free, you get not just a text or email with selections, but plenty of analysis (right or wrong) behind the selections. At just over £1 a day that seems decent enough if you bet every day or several times a week.

Which brings me to the one flaw - claiming early prices in the P&L when they halve in price or more. Credit to YtS for spotting the price anomaly, but any P&L ought to be shown at SP imo.
Report joshuag May 1, 2010 1:23 PM BST
jbarnes, you say not a life changing sum of money. I have a colleague who runs a very successful line with 120 clients each paying £1295 per year. Is that life changing enough. To be honest just changing your occupation for the even the same amount is life changing
Report missty May 1, 2010 1:29 PM BST
due to the prices being slashed, tipping lines are now pretty much worthless, unless they are played to SP. as are tips in certain races, where very few can even get an ew bet on etc
