The idiot Francome says Elusive Pimpernel hated the fast ground in the Craven and Jimbo agrees with him,
when in fact the horse NEEDS fast ground to show his best !

He might have an awful action but that's not the be all and end all FFS, Attraction had terrible action and look what she did after all "experts" ignored her at the sales.
The formbook tells you that he acts better on fast ground.

it was good going at donny....and goodish going in the craven. The Racing Post time was 1.12 secs slower than standard Craven was 1.36 secs slower than standard. Do you really think the goings were spot on? These colts dont run as fast on good to soft as they do on good to firm.

I really like the horse and backed it on all 3 starts last year but he seems well suited to some give,
if the rains come, the race will be his to lose but if it remains fast, I think it'll be any one of 5 or 6 that can win it !

Fair Enough, Not sure just how quick the ground will be today, there has been om overnight rain in Suffolk & essex this week and some quite heavy, didnt hear any last night and havent seen the wether forcast, however I think Sir Nic will enjoy the ground anyhow, the beresford being the quickest ground he has encountered is true group 1 form and the RP trophy form is much stronger then the dewhurst form. If he has trainned on then I think those in the know will be lumping on the horse and could see him go odds on, this is a poor guineas in terms of strength & depth this year imo.
Being by Montjeu u would think cut is needed, but to my eye his action will be fine on spring ground this quick
