It was not only the weather that was heating up in the Bishop Auckland constituency in County Durham, but also Adam Walkers election campaign, as hundreds of leaflets and Voice of Freedom newspapers were snapped up by constituents.

County Durham British National Party members started the day with two hours of leafleting in the town of Spennymoor before going to Bishop Auckland for the second leg of the days campaigning.

Mr Walker, Bishop Aucklands parliamentary candidate, said,
