Everybody saying Sony are bad, but why? They are leaders in picture quality and sound, so what is bad about them? ---- pictures and sound are about the last things to look at when buying a laptop (not saying they arent important) - unless you are going to be using it for purely porn based missions... People who say Sony is bad..well you cant make an informed decision based just on that. Sure there is an element of paying for the brand but I would say their laptops are very much respected. Got to make your own mind up and go out to shops and test different ones out. Its the only way especially when buying high end stuff.

I too would recommend against the Sony Viao as my gf has one and we're not impressed. My HP Pavilion is great and I would be happy to recommed that.
