what is going on with Patkai? not even in the Ascot Gold Cup betting with the bookies....
its quite obvious that patakai is going towin the gold cup or at least be in 1st 3 . no horse in that race will be placed in the gold cup . big bucks could win a gold cup double though imo . shame he needs ruby to ride

just looked at betting tting . and theres not 1 horse who i would consider a group 1 horse at any distance
its easy to assume that patakai would have been running theres not exactly been much written about the horse lately .
You would think Ask would be a class apart and could hose up if taking part. Ran against the best in Arcs and King George,s and won last years Yorkshire Cup and won 2 Miles in France so if he got the extra half mile i can,t see beyond him.

Ask won last years Coranation Cup at Epsom on Good, a close 3rd in last years King George, and won 2 Miles in france on Soft so he appears to go on any ground. Very confident if he is anywhere near last years form.
obviously have a big chance but i wouldnt back him at the prices at the moment

depends who moore rode . but the best form on offer is patakais 2nd to yeats last year . ask has not yet proven he stays

The Official Handicapper,RPR,Timeform and me think there are at least 6 other horses entered with better form.

dananders, fb has nothing better to do with his time than argue, the fact that paktai was unlucky last year in the race behind 5 time winner yeats, 15 lengths clear of the rest, wouldnt even have occured to him, ok TF rate Ask 2lb better on Asks best form, well done with your sliderule, but racing is a little more complex than that
i know flying bolt seems to like trying to have an argument with me. im not for 1 minute saying ask wont win but at the prices i wouldnt back him because he hasnt proved he stays . ide be pretty confident myself that yankee doodle of obriens will definitely improve alot for the step up in trip and at a big price take a little risk on him improving although hell need to

fb, there was a slight exaggeration, not even yeats in his pomp would have been those odds at this stage, you must be the worlds biggest jobsworth not see a little artistic license

fb it should be obvious, even to the most clueless jobsworth, that paktai, as a progressive 5yo would have been aimed at a race he was unlucky in last year and would have had a a very good chance of winning, fck he must be in everyones notebook, so 4/7 is a send up of how obvious the tip is...get it now ?

take yeats out of the race last year he won by at least ten . and every 1 would have been raving saying how brilliant he is . and he would undoubtebly be favourite ante post for this race. im not saying every horse that ran behind sts was unlucky but the 2nd horses against sts didnt beat every other horse in the field by 15 lenght

last years till has horses such as eastern anthem in the race . a dubai sheema classic winner. who obviously didnt stay .
were is ask starting off this season? what happens if he wins a group 1 over a mile and a half this season again . i dont c why they would run in the gold cup if it does

yeah cause horses like hindu kush are real speedsters . u like to question every 1 rowley mile i think u need to get another hobby

trouble is all its best form is on soft . could improve but will have to obviously lol . what price is opinion poll at moment?
16-1 and will improve for everything you speak of, ground trip etc and will target all the biggies.

not sure hell get soft ground at ascot though mate. montaff was beat today aswell pretty well but he beat him easy enough last time. yorkshire cup gonna be a good race but i dont think it will have much bearing on the gold cup

am i boll ox . y would i back that . probably be seen to best effect over alot further than hes been running but his form doesnt merit him being 20/1 . id want 50s minimum. might be too inexperienced for a race like that aswell
