recession has fcuked me big time, got qualified and was giving a dole/giro card :-)
3 Yrs ago was making £3000/£3500 a week installing C/heating, now its not worth mentioning, know a few plumbers out of job, I'm self employed & its harder now than its ever been, the boom has been & gone, never to return.

koi i could not agree more i was a self-employed bricklayer, and u used to be able to walk on any site and name ur price and get a job no bother , i had to pack it in cant get a job anymore its dead no boom now , i'm a **g picture framer now. and work for my gf!

any job where the only qualification is that you can drag a bin 7 yards from outside each house and hook it on the wagon and youre paid much more than the minimum wage ,, is always going to have billions wanting to do it ...you dont need to go to college or even have much grey matter so theres plenty "qualified " in this country
