I went to Towcester yesterday and found it quite easy to beat the shows, with plenty of books chasing not that much money. Both winning short priced favourites available at prices not transmitted close to the off (Lidar 4/5, The Ferbane Man 6/5), similar things at the Newmarket Craven meeting, so there is an incentive to attend the track. Having said that I don't know what prices these horses were on the machine, but if I didn't know, it doesn't matter)

lidar..best , i believe was 1.75. certainly never reached 1.8 because i had a bet posted at that price not matched.
the ferbane man...went up to 2.26 very briefly [ above 2.2 for 30 secs or so ]

adge, I must say that the prices I saw were only in one place (different books) so perhaps isolated cases. The fresh air was nice, btw.
