my advice for what it's worth is as follows.

do your own research pick your own selections it's far more satisfying. You're obviously starting with a small bank so aim to win 5% each day, if you start with £20 then in a month you'll about £100. then just kick on from there.

Put the effort in and you'll get the reward. With a some effort you could soon have a bank that it enough to generate a reasonable tax free income

i kno little about horse racing, but i gather a lot of information from tips on here, anythin i can get my hands on and then make a decision to go for it or not, working at the mo! lets hope it lasts!

My advice to earn a few extra pounds , and a very simple way to start making money . If you have local wholesalers around you , who do SMALL items for sale . I would trawl the big auction site and see what you could sell ,concentrate on small light items . You will be surprised when the orders come in . I know many who are now earning a tidy sum of money ,but you need time on your hands to do this . Around 200 would be a start . Goods are very cheap to buy at the moment .If you have a ability for taking good pictures and a can write a good presentation on the product ,you will be half way there . Anyway good luck .

I am sorry you missed out on a Huge Lump of redundancy money after 23 years . Did the union not compensate you in any way . They have a huge slush fund in cases like this .

Dusty , it is a very good way to set up a small business . Which was never around before auction site invented .No shop rent or rates and a small outlay needed , but requires a lot of time and patience .

Sparta , I a very glad they are appealing . There is a huge injustice here without knowing every piece of information . I do not care why they sacked you (unless the police were called in your sacking ) .You have human rights for that redundancy money after 23 year and any sane Judge would award you something in mitigation . i was dismissed unfairly because a bully gaffer concocted a story with another gaffer that a became aggressive when they say i failed to carry out a reasonable instruction which me been the professional deemed it unreasonable for the safety of the tenant of the property which caused an argument and in him sending me home . i had the tenant as a witness who failed to get interviewed who gave a different account the 2 managers gave to my union who also failed to bring him as a witness.
to top it all i had pre tribunal hearing to see if i coul get a tribunal but both judge and defending solicitor both worked for the local authority and struck me off because of an argument with 1 gaffer which wasnt 1 of the charges and she deemed the instruction was a reasonable 1, what chance did i have.
so yes i think the system stinks

This all sounds very strange for a Local Authority to take such action , on a individual who has had 23 years service , without prior warnings . If they have taken this action on this one incident , you have a very good claim against them .

not when the 2 managers involved came to the job together it was the ideal oppurtunity to get rid , i didnt get on with them both and they have both lied although the tenant was not interviewed at my request except for a brief statement which 1 of my colleagues got from the tenant , then both managers told the investigating officer the only independant was incoherent on drugs or drink , it did not help by the guy been west indian and been hard to understand but he has told my union that what the managers says took place , didnt and that it was the opposite the 6 foot 6 ex bouncer gaffer was the 1 who was been aggressive towards me , that was the case , i had a difference of opinion and the bully gaffer wouldnt let me get my point across , he just told me to bodge the job in front of the tenant and i end up sacked .

Sparta , this is a very complicated case , but you have been treated harshly . If you can obtain Legal Aid , I would appoint a good Barrister to fight your case . From what you have said , they have to pay some redundancy . You sound a good man , trying to bring up such a big family , good luck .

where have i said i have got money problems , other than struggling like a lot of other people in the recession , i find it hard to pay the mortgage but it is getting paid , as for trying out the nags , ive always had a bet and i probably wont stop. my kids get everything they need and they are been well looked after. i was just trying to make a topic where i could maybe get 4 horses and hopefully get 4 winners .
if i got any info for a horse what was said to be a good tip i would more than happily share that info on here.
