Mr Greatrex managed to win £80,296 in total prize money (win and placed) this season. This is obviously derisory and I expect Mr Greatrex to get one more season before getting the dreaded chop.
Mr Denmark must be seriously regretting getting rid of Carl who has gone on to help train the Gold Cup winner this season.
As must of you know on this forum I predicted Mr Greatrex would have a disasterous season along with Alan King.
I also questioned Jonjo O'Neil at the start of the season but he has well and truly proved me wrong. Considering Jonjo had possibly his worse string in terms of quality this season he has done remarkably well. Well done Jonjo, its great to see a genuinely nice person doing well.
Let's hope Mr Greatrex and Mr King can follow Jonjo's example next season......

It's only Henderson that keeps Lambourn's name in lights over the winter as the place has never been so weak NH wise, as it is now.

W Greatrex had a strike rate of 9% in his first season.....Mr Carl Lew' had a strike rate of 11% in his last season, and had many established horses like the Scottish National Winner, during his time. As I have said a previously to the poster who puts these tosh up nearly every other week, Greatrex has young horses, store types. They need time and cant be expected to winning big races.
The last winner the previous trainer had (Hennessy) won in excess of the total season prize fund of the current trainer has all season.
