There seems to be too many differences for an error.

Only one source that is reliable for OR's:

B.H.A. website

Kenny, On the BHA site can you get the OR for every runner on a race by race basis.

Late mail, why not use the results on Betfair through Timeform. Do a horse search and they are on the one page. Should imagine that they are very accurate.

Suffice to say, late mail - Racing Post are, mostly, correct - just a 'grey area' regarding overweights and apprentice allowances -

Whereas Sportinglife.com AND attheraces.com Both contain many, many, errors

The late mail, Australia,

Surprisingly, the BHA don't give OR ratings on their racecards, but state this on the website:

Ratings
You can find ratings for all horses in training in Great Britain in this section of the website.

The ratings are listed alphabetically but you can search by name or by rating; you can also export the full list of ratings to an Excel spreadsheet free of charge.

The ratings are updated on a weekly basis, on Wednesday mornings.

To search by horse name, you can simply hover the cursor over the 'Name' tab, click the arrow that appears on the right and then select 'Filters'. Simply enter the horse name you require and hit 'Enter'. The relevant horse will then be shown. You can also sort by rating.

Do timeform make a level stakes profit?

Presumably the RP will adjust the day-of-race ORs for weight-for-age and so on.

Yes, Ranruma - on the Racecards, ONLY - But ACTUAL Base rating shown in individual horse form, and subsequent results.

kennythebetboy, they do put ratings on the race cards, next to the horse's name.

Be careful, taking the BHA site ratings as sine die..... for every horse.

The 'Updates' on Wednesday morning only apply to races to be run from the coming SATURDAY onwards.

Therefore, the ratings you see will NOT apply foe Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the CURRENT week, if they have JUST been updated on the CURRENT Wednesday morning.

There is no indication, therefore, against individual horse ratings shown as to whether that rating has been in place for some time (since it last ran) or is a current week 'change'.

You need to be 'up to speed' continually with the current form to establish which are which.
