It's prabaly obvious now that Dunguib will never win a Champion hurdle as he just doesn't have enough speed or hurdle well enough especially on decent ground. What should connections do next with him. A step up in trip would seem the the best option and he's bred to get further than 2 mile. Impressive as he was in the Cheltenham bumper - these bumper winners generally need more than 2 miles over hurdles.

ebor . get him handicapped. softish ground will run very well . hes a better horse than last years winner . though im all over allied powers 4 the ebor on soft
It will be interesting to see if they aim him at the World hurdle.
well i dont think it would be wise to totally disregard him, im saying he will win a champion but if he got a strong pace and settle he has a really good chance imo!the IF but hes capable imo!u did see him pull for practically the whole race yesterday yeah?
didnt seem to pull too bad . ide rate sanctuaire a better horse . if that 1 learns to settle will be a serious horse
just watched it again i cant see in the 1st mile where he pulls too hard. and even if he did the last thing hed want is a step up in trip were thell go slower and hell pull even harder. i think it just a caseof he doesnt run fast enough on decent ground

rowley mile you are a very angry individual . bless you
horse obviosly has talent, but dosnt seem to run well on good groung.Connections just have to face that fact.Always has pulled hard - watch his bumper wins, when his jockey let him go he sprinted clear, but you cant do that to early in a race or perhaps they should try front running. Definately a better jockey would help .I think the horse won his previous races inspite of the jockey. Mccoy reckons its one of the best horses hese seen.
Horses who have this ability to quicken dont always retain it eg. Crowded House,Tidal bay.
