Two great jockeys. Very difficult to say one is better than the other imo.

No, McCoy the better jockey, Walsh gets the better rides

To some posters on here AP couldn't ride hurdlers, won the Champion Hurdle, and couldn't ride chasers, won the Grand National. Two top class jockeys with different styles and almost inseperable. From a punting and health point of view Ruby makes you feel more confident your money is safe for longer, until the final fence that is, whereas AP puts you under pressure from a long way out then gets the job done.

Very hard choice.

Walsh

McCoy everytime. Just solely because he would anything and go anywhere. Nothing to do with the talents of the two.

^ride

McCoy or Ruby over a full English season.

And you wonder why you are hated throughout the civilised world?

got to be a.p for me,
dont know the stats but im thinking ruby rides a lot more favs than a.p
cant think of many times youd say how did ruby win on that
it eems a regular thing with a.p
i would personally have a.p mccoy and richard johnson over ruby
just my opinion though

what's up boycee? you sound like that illiterate fool from irish sports, workrider lol...
Report loper April 23, 2010 9:11 AM BST
Ruby wouldn't know how to ride a recalcitrant selling hurdler with a reluctance to line up, face the bridle, jump and put its head down in a finish.

That would rule out most mid week meetings over the season.
Report loper April 23, 2010 9:13 AM BST
However, if all races were grade 1 contests with a hot fav with no quirks and 10lb in hand, that wins on the bridle, I'd have Ruby every time.
