Nobody said it was.

But yes, people do care. Top class racing and the last big NH meeting of the year.

not as good as Cheltenham but nothing else is either - Punchestown is a great festival, good racing, good crowds and a great craic

For atmosphere and the craic Punchestown would be no.1 but Cheltenham is the daddy for racing.

This is correct

Why must they all be run in a 5 week period?

Easy answer tbh , gamblers who are not having a particularly good time of it will diversify and start comparing everything thus making excuses with a negative head , those who follow the sport as well as being an active punter take each meeting at face value and accept everything for what it is , a positive head.

This forum contains an obscene mixture of both but a general observation would indicate a heavy bias towards the negative mentality.

'mental' is more apt - imo

actually not having a bad time of it at all and watching the racing just saying like all gonna end up same in end so no point losing sleep about the inevitable

worst thing about punchestown is if you want to avoid the bumpers its a long hike and taxi ride to naas for a drink

i amsure the locals enjoy it and dont all the local hoi polloi turn out for ladies day but starting halfway through the afternoon cant be that great either, there seems very little festival atmosphere there today and surely 5 days is too many for any festival?in answer to the original question,no i dont care about it but im sure plenty of irish do so good luck to them.

people are anti irish racing because of misguided views in the past--real racing people will appreciate good racing--punchestown is a fantastic track
Isnt punchestown better than all the flat racing thats on at present, its a better meeting than aintree and fairyhouse
