Why Was Teenoso's Derby Win Sooo Very Slooow?

Ground was soft/heavy when Teenoso won, I backed it that day, thought it was the prov good thing on that ground!

It was nearly heavy when Teenoso won, probably the wettest spring i ever saw, all you got for most of that May was rain, after Epsom it dried up

as said teenoso derby was run on near heavy ground and walter was pulling shergar up for three furlongs.

So why is Shergar reveered as a wonder horse? What was the ground desription when he won? To run some 10 seconds below the norm and be considered a wonder horse confuses me somehwhat?

Teenoso was any price you liked about six weeks before the race, AP fav Dunbeath got turned over by Hot Touch at York, Lomond was fav having been a winter third string for VOB and Wraggs charge won the Lingfield trial in very soft ground

ST, it was softish ground then, and they went a crawl for the middle of the race before turning it on nearing the straight, Shergar also had nowt to race against for 3f and was eased fully a furlong out

Teenoso is one of the easiest Derby winners ive ever seen

How does Teenoso's time stack up against other Derby winners on soft/heavy going? Just seems to be sooo slooow and out of kilter with the standard times of winners over the years.

Teenoso was a great horse won the King George the following year on hard ground.
