Other people have expensive hobbies and many people have made bad investments of one sort or another. Its just that gambling has a stigma attached to it so money lost that way makes you feel particularly bad.

How many people u actually know who is ruined by betting? Myself not come across many tho maybe i don't get out enough
Gamblers are portrayed as heavy smokers who lose all their wages or dole money in the bookies .

tbf zealot 90% of betting shop punters fall into that category
One thing about gamblers they are all overweight mostly lol
My mate just got divorced and had to give his ex half the value of his house which he bought and paid all the bills for...So no I never feel guilty if I lose gambling If I don't spend it some bugger else will when I croak.
Guilty as ****, particularly when we sold the lad's trike.
most of us were betting shop punters once.....at least in the bookies you get some exercise, walking to and from the counter!!!
and arm exercises - writing, lifting the paper, throwing the slip as hard as you can into the bin and of course picking up those bloody annoying rolling pens!
still manage to get plenty of arm exercise from home. using one of those stress balls
