brodie - we have about 35 races today x 7 thats over 150 races a week - take your time my son whatever wins a single race will not change the world.
To win at this game you need to take your time - no bet today ok
I have backed 2 today one got nodded off at newmarket the other was a non runner.i PREFER TO WAIT UNTILL TOMORROW If you must back one in the last i would think that The Henderson mare will be very very sharp= but she wont have my money at 6-4

Nice post lapsy. thanks.

Dunno how old you are diddles mid fiftys i should think?
Im in late fortys, between us we must av been punting 70 yrs, so have picked up a few things along the way?

As much as irish are lucky and the crazy lambeth walk will rip anybody to bits, and have there pops, i always remember as i think mr d does the enemy are out there in the high street not on here? we both have our attackers on here, but if i can help anybody take a quid of these high street robbers i will.

Yes we stick our heads up above the parapit, and yes i/he may sometimes seem arrogant, but id rather call it confidence, if you aint got that in this game you have no chance. :)

Well i am late 30s ... And both the Grimster and Diddles have always made perfect sense to me , along with a few others on here they make good arguments for their selections/thoughts, which i for one take onboard. :)

To many people on here talking when they should be listening... IMO ;)

thats very true - when your a canny old codger - you still need to listen - 2 ears one mouth use then in that proportion.
If I really fancy one I might just put a question up - Like i think I have the winner of this race whats your opinion. Then listen who says what.
There is always someone somewhere in the world who knows more than you - I also observe the Bookmakers -who is going short on one or whos trying to lay one. Lets face facts - they should be in the best position to know what horses are off. Ladbrokes have the only betting shop within 10 miles of Lambourn - Why the hell would a bookmaker want a betting shop in Lambourn Its populations 90% insiders.
Nobody can tell me they have not got a real clued up team in there to monitor the time of day.
Totesport have a new incentive for horserace owners - They will lay a horserace owner a miimum of £4k exposure on any of the owners horses if they register the horses name. My account with totesport is my only on going account as all the others have been closed. I use it to place tote rollover bets. But if i want an sp bet they wont lay me a bean - except if its my horse. They must think i was born yesterday.

Diddles, Grimster obv know what they are talking about without giving any trade secrets away.
The secret is being selective ie patience. You do not need to bet in every race. If you find a value bet then back it within your bankroll, and not more than 5% of same.
Today I have a horse I want to be against. The race will not be run to suit, and if wins I will lose. Been on the go forever, and is a dog, but is currently trading around half arm. What more could a punter want. Lay on here at 2.8.
In fact the horse is very aptly named.
You all know which horse I refer to so get stuck in. My value price is 4/1 for the animal.
So instead of beating around the bush Diddles n Grimster, get some value up here, so we can utilise your knowledge.

Would you walk in a bookies and shout to everyone in there "Back this, because I am"?

The answer is no, so why would anyone with half a brain want to follow someone they've never met, sat the other side of a computer screen?
Get a grip. You claim to be 59 and then come out with puerile remarks like " wow thats a very impressive name", and "woow he must be impotant (sic)"
I won't be putting any selections up here, but thanks for the invitation.
