Mine was on Red Rum in a race where me and my twin brother both had a bet and my brother did Rubstick which won the race. We were both about 10 i think and we are now 37. I got hooked and my bro never even though he had a winner his first bet.

Time Charter with Steve Cauthen up,

got 100/30 instead of 7/4 cos I didn't know anything about taking a price,

got really worried cos the jockey on mine didn't seem to be moving at all compared to the other jocks,

but years later found that to be a good thing !

Yes, years later I found out that there was a rumour about Henry Candy's stable having the virus and the horse drifted from 6/4f out to 7/2 etc,

but Time Charter was apparently stabled away and the rest is history :)
