There is one at ponte that stands out IF punters have watched replays shouldv'e won last time out and i'm looking at it as a trade really as has become inconsistent.
Not mentioning it on here as tipsters may well put it up and i'm looking at it as more of a trade.Put it this way if it doesn't get backed its probably not trying as i expect it to be hammered but price is the worry. Not naming the horse as would be pointless, watch every runners last run on replay it shouldv'e won runs in the 5.20. So you didn't think it would win because it has become inconsistent (Get out clause No.1) Not mentioning it on here as tipsters may well put it up (Get out clause No.2) If it doesn't get backed its probably not trying (Get out clause No.3) (and would not back on this advice if horse's name was actually stated.) Is there a John in the room - Someone with the initial M wants to speak to you. Yes it could stand for Mother. |

I've got a horse for you. Its a well regarded 2yo (for the grade) running at Beverley tomorrow. Its not a fancy trainer but its expected to go in without the minimum of fuss. I won't put it up just yet as its expected to be backed off the boards and I want to secure a price. Trainer states that it may still be a bit green but is fit enough to do itself justice. He also stated that to try and get a better price he has put up a journeyman jockey as to not to attract any attention.

Sorry I should have said that this horse is for trading purposes as with being a two year old you can never be too sure.
I shall be here after the race to take all the plaudits. Thank you |

There are a shedful of emails sent out but knew these would be recognized, think you'll find points 1,2 were right as in aw form and amount of placings and as for 3 did shorten and then drifted just before race.Pretty accurate Ta.

I think the majority of horses are inconsistent, especially those off the all weather - so thats a major generalistion. Not putting it up because of a tipster is a get out and why even put the sentence up in the first place? I don't know about on here but on course it opened up 11/2 went to 5's then drifted to 6's.
So you made a statement about an anonomous horse being inconsistent, in a race were all the horses are inconsistent and also giving advice that it'll either drift or get backed. You strongly suggested that if the unnamed horse wasn't backed then it wouldn't be trying. It wasn't backed to any degree yet it won. Giggolo I don't really know why you type on this forum, I really don't. Why don't you just stick to your emails if you want to type something interesting as your vague tips and pathetic boasting of vague non tips is becomming quite tedious. I |
By:
Not putting it up because of tipsters was glaringly obvious thing not to do after its last run and was put up by a tipster as i was almost sure it would be.Secondly i backed it at 5s was 9/2 all day till nearer race time.

gigg ,thanks for the email, it was the bizzo.
these people want you to pick a horse out AND predict how its price will throw. its impossible. 1 horse was recommended to me today to trade /punt on and cornus was the one. Give the fella some credit sheesh. |
By:
and 'if they are trying' is ALWAYS a proviso in this game ,we know this game .
By:
I'm not gigg btw ,before you ask the incisive q ;)
By:
So you backed it even though it wasn't heavily backed. Which by what you typed meant it wouldn't be trying. Going against your own advice.
What price did you trade at? No, don't tell me. You suddenly had a change of heart and emailed everybody in your address book to say that it was going to win easily and advised not to trade. |
By:
Brodie I will not be so cryptic or vague. I will not put any proviso's on my selection I will just advise you what I advised Giggolo before and that is that - as the Racing Post entries are laid out, I will back horse number 3 in the second race at the second meeting at Betfair SP. And I will guarantee that it will trade lower in running.
You can thank me later. |
By:
so you are saying that we can back horses at random and hedge up all green by sticking a pin in?

i/r

By:
i'm going to bed, this is a non-argument. be lucky
By:
Yes Brodie - you'd be very unlucky to randomly pick a horse that will not trade shorter.
By:
is that what you do? back the field and lay em all i/r to hedge up at say 10% less price?
By:
No, I'm not so random in doing my selections. Its an ongoing thing that I am looking at. I am going right back to when the Betfair SP was first introduced and seeing what it comes up with.

I'm a fan of betfair-timeform data too. But i fear ,there are way too many brighter sparks in that info field for me to contend with.
Deffo gotta depart now ,be lucky all. :) |
