I remember we spoke about it after it won at Kempton.. not sure if I'm going to back it tomorrow. I hate these races where the 2yos turned to 3.. no idea who has progressed more than others, bloody minefield! Make sure you wear full body armour and helmet, good luck solider.

Yeah ilwab, I just been watching previous runs of main protagonist.. was just so impressed by prizefighting at Kempton, made up the ground final furlong hands and heels. Weren't disgraced just 6 days later either, but I still hope he's better than that. Wouldn't particularly want to back a filly like timepiece against colts atm either.. hopefully someone will go 4/1 in morning for Prizefighting and i'll take a chance.

yeah i mean im trying not to get ahead of myself, i kno it was a mere kempton maiden but it was an above average performance IMO anyway, even frankie stayed back and watched the replay on the tv as he couldnt believe how anything couldve reached the front 2!possibly race too soon in g1 and also heavy ground, much better on good going id imagine and as u say straight to g1 and wasnt exactly hammered 10L's u kno!!just think hes over priced in comparison fav but i guess we'll see tomorrow :) might be last, hopefully not!!ill throw a few quid on i think and lay the fav!!

Gosden usually good at this meeting too, and good early season form would suggest the trend should continue. Fancy anything else tomorrow?

yeah true!!raging actually as i really fancied zuider zee today, say all the money for cecils and couldnt understand why so jumped ship and zuider won lol albeit by a nose hair but still.... em just lookin through the 1st race at the mo in nmk!!like HARVEST MOON in 1st, nice pedigree and was only a 1/2 L behing fav on latest outting!wanna look at trainer form tho!!u lookin more at chelters tomorrow?

Harvest Dancer? lol Harvest Moon is a game?! Or.. The harvest moon is the moon at or about the period of fullness that is nearest to the autumnal equinox! Well I've actually backed Longliner in the 3.00.. don't ask me why, as I don't really know. But yeah definitely more interested in the jumps still, had a cracking week.. 40/1 winner.. 28/1 winner both at aintree.. and a 25/1 winner today. Nuts eh?!

I fancy Kangaroo Court tomorrow, but I'm definitely not the only one, and it could start a lot shorter than I think it should but I am quite keen.. and I like Tilt too in the 3.20, step up in trip and decent ground will help. 14/1 with SJ atm but I'm hoping it might go a bit bigger if BF is anything to go by.. plus he refused at start few runs back, so ideally I would like to back with PP. Shame no one is 1/4 odds or would do it EW, so looks like I'm just going for the win.

Punch next week, looking forward to it, or you more excited about the flat kicking off?

wow nice winners!!yeah kangeroo court, likes the good ground!!havent really looked at chelt card tbh, shud be doin college work too but what can ya do!!no no looking formward to punchestown, hope dunguib runs, im absolutely convinced no matter what race he goes for he'll win, lol seriously, i dont care if its on good, jusr raging he wont be facing menorah and co..........i hope he goes against the older horses, he'll win!!

I still gambled loads last year when I was doing my Dissertation and got a 2:1.. so it's possible to be amazing at both - haha. In fact I remember being in uni comp pool watching Master Minded win his first Champion Chase at 7-2 I think it was - good times! What you doing an college anyway?

Yeah am not sure about Dunguib until I see which race he's in and who he is against.. I heard Captain Cee Bee might run in the rabo champ hurdle too and I have to give this horse another chance in whatever he runs in. Shame about Ruby though.. not the same without him cruising everywhere on the bridle making it look effortless, great opportunity for Townend though.

lol nice, ill be lucky to get a 2.2 at this stage lol!!english and art history, unusual for a gambler :) im tellin ya dunguib will win!giving him one more chance!yeah pity bout ruby alright!i kno why u backed retainer, mr hannon, 2yr olds on fire, u could back worse unraced favs, good luck!!delighted for mccoy too, what a man!!

Haha I backed Longliner not retainer! Thanks for the well wishes with a horse I haven't even backed! not even same trainer, so no idea where you got that from, maybe it's a sign we should back retainer instead.. not that we'll get rich from doing so. Dunguib doesn't really need another chance does he though, his 3rd wasn't exactly a bad effort, just a poor ride tbh.. his jumping really needs to be better though, especially against the likes of Hurricane Fly in which looks like he will be running. Have to give HF one more chance for definite, looked a world beater last season.

It's the false self confidence/arrogance that gets you through the dark days of betting ;). Don't go overboard with Dunguib until you know what race he's going in anyway! he's still got a lot to learn against the pro's.

lol sorry didnt get much sleep!!retainer ins in the 2nd at nmk , hughes/hannon, has won last 4/6 runnings of the race so watch the betting, likely to get hammered anyway, has 2 in it tho, moore on the other!yours is stoutes (i think)havent looked!good luck with that one so and not retainer :D.....oh no doubt, actually forgot bout HF, awesome horse, was my fancy for the champion b4 all the trouble, will get a good price on dunguib then i think ill prob stick with him, fitness edge, jumping is appaling tho!!
By:
ilikewavingatbuses
When: 14 Apr 10 00:26
just looking at that race u bet stoutes!i actually like coordinated cut for that one, think the trip and ground will be the making of him!!DON CARLOS prob a place lay!
By:
RyanWe
When: 14 Apr 10 00:26
lol I hope you don't come out with that sleep excuse when you find out your results or use it as an excuse for changing your mind on a horse that goes on to win! Nothing worse when that happens, every punter knows that feeling when you watch the horse you was going to back, beat the horse you backed instead. Haha what course do the typical gamblers take then, would love to know what that is?! Cos if I had seen the course how to become a millionnaire through gambling then I would of been the first person to take it, but I get the feeling I would be among a lot of mugs.

Hannon actually said there wasn't a lot between his two in that 2nd race at Newmarket.. but can't believe everything a trainer tells you. Especially when Moore's mount is 5 times the price - haha! Retainer going off as odds on wouldn't surprise me for the reasons you stated.
