He was clearly very well regarded by PCH, overcame greenness to win his maiden and was then out of his depth next time. I don't see why PCH couldn't have won with it - he nearly won it with Monitor Closely last year and that had even less form than Coordinated Cut.

Successful trainers appear to have 'good ammunition' and unsuccessful trainers 'bad'. The only potentially objective view of how good a flat horse ought to be is the price it sells for in the ring, and that's hardly bombproof, notwithstanding the fact that plenty of good horses don't go through the ring.
