Why? He will have been desperate to prove a point to the owner. It will have been trained to the minute for that and absolutely nothing to suggest it wouldn't have done exactly the same for Chapple-Hyam?

why ? his maiden form was mince he drifted like his leg had fallen off before his very lacklustre performance in the rp trophy has since changed stables and he has just scooped a major pot id say it was a terrific training performance imo

Sometimes, the trainer a horse has left is as relevant as the trainer it has joined. See if you can spot anything significant about the latest runs of Great Charm and Faited To Pretend.

He was clearly very well regarded by PCH, overcame greenness to win his maiden and was then out of his depth next time.
I don't see why PCH couldn't have won with it - he nearly won it with Monitor Closely last year and that had even less form than Coordinated Cut.

genius lads. look at the guys record and hes hardly got the best ammunition
Report History Maker April 14, 2010 3:55 PM BST
I don't really buy this 'ammunition' cr*p.

Successful trainers appear to have 'good ammunition' and unsuccessful trainers 'bad'. The only potentially objective view of how good a flat horse ought to be is the price it sells for in the ring, and that's hardly bombproof, notwithstanding the fact that plenty of good horses don't go through the ring.
