Well I'm not on the greatest of runs at the minute but Parisian Pyramid looks a huge price at 40/1 today. I followed him on his last two runs last year & he finished off the season with a very good 5th in a very good class 2 handicap at Doncaster running on well at the finish on that flat track over 5f. He had also caught the eye on his other run at 5f at Newbury again finishing well in 7th. His other try at the trip was on g/f round Chester's tight 5f which would not have suited. His two best efforts over todays trip off marks of 90 & 94 give him a solid chance today off this years starting mark of 89 for his new stable & feel he is well worth a try at such huge odds. Todays stiffer track should really suit over this trip & a drop to class 3 level are in his favour. There should be a strong pace in the race which will help & although stall 7 is tricky his style of racing may allow him to work his way over to the favoured far side. Well that's the plan anyway ! There's always a risk in selecting first time out runners but his form & being unexposed at the trip give him a very good chance off todays rating. He's certainly no 40/1 shot to me !
2.20 Doncaster Coral Hcp 5f 24th October Dandy Nicholls runs three here and he hasn't won this sprint race previously.
Parisian Pyramid is one of 10 runners in this that contested the York race. That race has produced 3 previous winners of todays race. Those 3 winners were all 3yo's (like PP) All had either won or finished 2nd in their previous 6 races.(PP finished 2nd in one of the last six races) All were in the weight range 8-7 to 8-12 and PP carries 8-8 today.
Joe Fanning got the feel for Parisian Pyramid when behind Cheveton but Adrian Nicholls was on Strike Up The Band who finished ahead of him in 4th. Adrian rides the stable select today in Cape Vale who is quite consistent.(7-16 prev winners were consistent with at least 2 wins and and placed runs. Five of the 7 ran within 9 days like Cape Vale)
*Fancied it for this race but it finished 5th but ran well*. Good luck with it today as I think it's worth persevering with.

it certainly isn't a price to be knocked but perhaps it needs a spin and some of the other 4yo's look more progressive to me.
however has had a bit of respite from mid 90's marks but not managed to win since its sole success in aug 08 (nursery)
i'm hoping dandy has fol hollow primed to follow up last years success and its my biggest punt since chelters so i hope i've nailed it.
gl though, be happy to see you placed behind mine ;)

Interesting one mr m. Has some really decent form in the book and definitely no 50-1 chance. Be a bit worried about the trip though - should be staying on at the end which is always good at Bev but he might need 6f.

An interesting write up Mr Moloko ... there is another thread on here about Black Snowflake,so I have decided to have a small E/W Double and little E/W Single on each ... GL
