good morning folks. Could someone please help me with a formula I need on excel ( I'm not too good on it )

If a cell has a W I need to multiply another cell by 5
If the same cell has an L in it I need to multiply the other cell by -1

This is probably clear as mud but hopefully someone can help

Not sure if the forum will format this properly, but anyway this does what you want.

=IF(B136= "W" ;C136*5;IF(B136= "L" ;C136*-1;""))

I use OpenOffice not Excel so you might need to replace ; with , for it to work.
