I noticed that my exposure balance as shown by Betfair was only about £40 when it should have shown about £500. I rang betfair only to be told that my exposure balance was correct. When I asked him how this could be he said that only the stake on lay bets were included in this balance, not the liability!!!!!! When I queried this he told me to hold the line and obviously spoke to someone more senior. He then said that the exposure was not the same because of the express payout system. I think this should be looked at, because some people could go by the exposure balance shown by betfair and make more bets, when they are already losing.

The main point is however, that a betfair employee, yet again, has told me a load of rubbish. He stated several times that the exposure balance did not reflect lay liability, only the stake. When he returned and explained about the express payout affecting the balance, he did not mention that he had informed me incorrectly about the lay situation. I had to ask him about this and only then did he admit he was wrong.

This is another in a long list of betfair employees telling me incorrect information.

SORT IT OUT BETFAIR :)
